Our 3rd Annual Small Group Camping Trip!
For the past 3 years we have bravely gone camping with our small group friends. This year only 5 families could go. Between us all there are 10 adults and 10 kiddos. Each year has gotten easier and easier. This year we decided to try some cabins. 3 of the families splurged for cabins and for me it was well worth the extra money. Yes, I know its cheating but I was a much happy camper and thats all that matters right??
The cabins were super cute and nice and roomy. Lots of room to spread out and gets some good sleep which for me makes or breaks the camping experience. Each night Charlie took turns sleeping with the big boys on the pull out futon and I had Ethan with me in the bottom bunk. Sigh....not sleeping on the rocky cold dirt was amazing!!

We usually pick a central site for our group site. This is where we try to eat our meals together and gather around the campfire. |
Fun times at the playground!
Unfortunately the weekend that we went camping the state of Washington had placed a ban on fire in most state and national parks :( Including our campground! We were super bummed because how do you have a camping trip with out a fire?? How do you roast s'mores? how do you stay warm in the chilly early mornings? Its not as fun to sit up late at night and chat with all the adults sitting around citronella candles. Oh well! We made do and had fun anyways.

Got a smile!! :) |
We spent most of the days at the lake! The kids had a blast playing in the sand and boating around.
Charlie got a lot better pictures! When I get a chance I'll post them :)
Heres to another successful camping trip!!!
