Thankful Day!

Over the last 7-8 years we've struggled with settling into a good Thanksgiving routine. Each year we've done something totally different. While that can be fun and exciting...its a little tiresome after awhile. Its nice to have traditions and consistent plans around the holidays. Its good to be flexible too. Now that my mom is married and we have a new blended family we are looking forward to making new traditions with them.

This year we kept it really simple. We enjoyed a relaxing (lazy) morning at home. The kids watched the Thanksgiving parade while I made yummy sweet potato casserole to share with the whole family later. After naps for Ethan and Carter we packed up and headed to my mom and Randy's house for the Thanksgiving feast. And a feast it was! Lots of good food and good company. So much to be thankful for this year!
