| 8 Adult and 11 kids...survived another camping adventure! |
After our very fun first camping trip last year with some friends we were excited to go again this summer. This year we stayed a little closer to home and camped at Battleground Lake. When we planned our dates we had no idea that we'd be camping on the hottest weekend of the summer. Whew! It was a toasty one for sure. Our campsite was a longer walk from the parking lot than we expected but the scenery and surrounding was so gorgeous! It was good that we had a lot of shade from the trees to help keep us cool and huge fun lake to swim in too!
The kids LOVED running around and finding their special hiding spots in the forest.

Another plus to our far away camping site was that it was a little closer to the playground. The kids had a lot of fun playing there!
Thank goodness for the lake!! Helped us stay nice and cool

It was a lot of hard work in the heat and keeping all the kids alive and well for 2 days in the forest. Lots of fun memories were made and we can't wait to do it again next year! Right?? :)
