Boucher Bunch: Father's Day Fun

Father's Day. For many people its a wonderful day to celebrate and enjoy time with the man/men in their lives known as "father". This can be a different person to different people. The past few years I've had to work hard at reworking my heart and mind around who and how to celebrate this annual "holiday". Due to the loss of my relationship over the years with my earthly father I choose to make my focus of Father's Day to be on my Heavenly Father and of course Charlie, my wonderful hubby and amazing father of our 3 boys. Some years its been easier than others. At some point I do have a few of a hard moments but each year it gets easier to refocus my heart and mind. This year was the easiest of them all. Mostly because we had such a crazy couple of weeks leading up to my mom's wedding and also because it was the first time in over a year that my middle brother was visiting from Minnesota. While my mom was off enjoying her new hubby on their honeymoon, my brother's and I put together a fun day to spend together. The weather was beautiful so we wanted to spend as much time as we could outside. Down in Oregon there is this little place called Oaks Park. Its tiny little amusement park that we really should enjoy more often. Now that the boys are getting older and are able to ride more of the rides you better believe we'll be going back again soon! They had a blast!! A wonderful family day just having fun together. You can't ask for anything more than that.
