No matter how rough Saturdays might be, Sunday always come along to redeem my sanity and my mood. A great church service and family time always seem to pick me right back up again. Some Sundays the boys have a
Daddy Day or we have a family day. Either way Sunday is always wonderful.
Lately I've been taking some sewing classes and they happen to be Sunday afternoons which are just perfect. Charlie gets to spend time with the boys and I get a little mama time learning more about my newest hobby. Not that I'm going to be making anything fancy anytime soon. Most of the classes focus on making clothes which I'm not interested in at all. Maybe if I had a little daughter to make cute dresses for or something. It is still good to just learn new things and never hurts to practice practice practice. Next week we are going to learn about patterns which is what I'm really interested in. I have NO idea what to do with a pattern. So far all I've done is sew different size squares and rectangles together to make baby quilts. Nothing fancy about that. I want to know how to branch out a bit.
After I got home from my sewing class this week Charlie wanted to work on a little project while the sun was out. Thanks to our tax refund we are finally tackling some much needed projects around the house. One of these is replacing our mailbox post. The current one has been falling apart for awhile now so Charlie was itching to put something new in. He got all the materials and waited for a dry day. Today was the day! I love it when the boys can help him out on projects. Its so great to see all my guys working together.
