Happy New Year!

Last night after watching the ball drop Ethan woke up for a little midnight snack. As I sat in the quiet dark house feeding my little guy I was overwhelmed with emotions and memories from last New Years Eve. I remember I could barely sleep because I was so excited and nervous for the next day. What was so special about New Years Day last year? Well, we got to bring Ethan home from the NICU on that very first day of 2011. A very special day indeed! Ethan had been in the NICU for 13 long days and the thought of finally bringing him home was both thrilling and nerve-racking. He was so fragile and precious and I knew that we had a long road ahead of us to full health. I had no idea what the next year would bring. I didn't know we would be returning to the hospital for another week when he got RSV. All I knew then was that God was with our family and that He would bring us through whatever was coming our way. And He did. He blessed us with peace and friends and family for support. I look back and I'm just so thankful for everything and everyone. As I hold Ethan now, 1 year old,  and see his bright smile and sweet blue eyes I know every tear and every long sleepless night was so worth it.

1 week old!

1 year old!

As we start a brand new year I again have no idea what will be coming but I know that God will be with us. I see a lot of wonderful things in the future that I'm really excited about (no, no more babies ..for now...) and I know its going to be a great year! I can't wait to share it with all of you!  I will do my best to keep this blog going with my thoughts on daily life with my 3 wonderful crazy boys. Of course there will be an abundance of super cute pictures too.

Please stick around and let me know your reading too!

Happy New Year everyone!!

Birthday fun!
