Pizza and Ships

After a looong late night flight our first adventure in Alaska was over. Thank goodness! We got a short sleep at a hotel (thanks Sam and Dianna) before hopping in the car and driving 5 hours to Homer. As many of you parents out there know...5 hours can turn into 6...7....8 hours with 2 small kids who are over tired, over sugared, and SUPER excited. Add an infant who is way off schedule and totally confused about what is going on....never mind...Ethan was a dream :) he always is. So blessed to have a little guy who just goes with the flow. He slept like a champ in the car and didn't give us much grief. It didn't help that Brendan got sick about an hour away from our destination. We totally forgot his anti-nausea medicine. Poor guy! We were so happy to finally arrive at Uncle Jed and Aunt Heidi's home in the super small city of Homer. Cousins everywhere so much fun! After settling in a bit we headed down to a local pizza place for dinner. Yummy!

Got some great pictures of all the cousins together!

After filling our bellies we went to visit Uncle Jed's ship. It was cool to see where he works and the boys loved it!

What a busy first day! So much more fun to come....stay tuned!!

Oh....one more picture....

Enjoying ice cream before bed...at 11:30 pm! Yikes!! Notice how light it is outside? So weird! Very hard to remember that it was that late!
