Birthday Zoo Trip

I took the boys to the zoo for Brendan's birthday. We met up with our friends Jenny and her daughter Libby. It had been awhile since we spent time with them and it was nice to catch up and the kids really enjoyed playing together.
Getting into the zoo was quite the ordeal. It was a gorgeous day and the zoo was packed. There was no parking when we arrived at 11 so I decided to take the boys to a nearby park to play. We figured we'd kill some time and wait for some of the early zoo visitors to leave. The park was packed but the boys had a lot of fun. We finally were able to find a spot to park and get into the zoo around 12:30. The first thing we did was go get on the train. I usually don't take the boys on the train every time we go but thought I'd treat Brendan for his birthday. Libby and Jenny had never been on the train either so it was real special treat for them as well.
