Brendan had his 4 year check up on Monday. Charlie took him this time because I really needed to stay home and rest. I don't know how common dads go to dr. appointments but Charlie really enjoyed it. He got to meet Brendan's dr. and really liked him. It was strange for me not going and wondering what the dr. asked and if Charlie answered the questions correctly. But it went really well. No shots this time. He needs some shots before Kindergarten but we decided that because we had family pictures scheduled after the appointment we didn't want a cranky kid. We got some good news that Brendan is growing! Finally! Here are his stats:
Weight: 36 lbs (52%!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Height: 38.6 in (15%...yes he is very short)
We are glad to see him above the 50% mark! Its probably the highest he has been since he started going down hill at 4 months. I'm not joking. We looked up his past stats and he peaked at 2 months in the 77%...it dropped dramatically and hit his lowest of 3% when he was 15 months. He leveled out at around 37% and finally has moved up over 50%. Yay! He eats much better, still picky but more willing to try stuff and the foods that he does like, he eats a lot of. Spaghetti is his absolute favorite. He'll eat it no matter what, even if he is sick. Thats my boy! ♥
Now if we could just get him to grow a little taller. He is still wearing 3T pants! He has short legs and a long torso. Finally wearing 4T shirts but some are still a bit long on him.
Funny story....the nurse asked Brendan during his check-up if he was 8 (jokingly) and he said no! I'm 4 but my feet are 8. LOL he does wear a size 8 shoe! The nurse thought that was hilarious that he knew that and told her. Ha ha my little guy.
