Hunting Christmas Trees

Growing up getting the Christmas tree was always a pretty big deal in our family. Once we moved to the PNW we always went to a U-cut and picked out our own tree. It was usually a pretty gigantic tree and quite the miraculous feat to get it into the house and decorated.

I'm so lucky that I married a man who is just as dedicated to getting beautiful real trees as I am. Throughout our 8 years of marriage we've had a variety of trees. Fake (yes, one year...never again) and real, big and small. Its fun to look back at Christmases past so I thought I'd post a few oldies!

Brendan's first trip to Christmas Tree Farm. I was home with baby Carter so Charlie and Uncle James took him to a place nearby.

This year we had to find a new tree farm. Luckily there is an awesome one just 7 miles from us! We had a lot of fun and got a great tree for a great price. Will definitely make this our yearly tradition! They had fun animals to see and even a donkey to ride named Elvis. Lots of beautiful trees growing, didn't see a bad one on the lot! Afterwards we warmed up with hot cocoa (or coffee for the grownups) and candy canes before heading home.

Christmas Tree Hunts are serious business!
