Papa and Goomie Visit

A few times a year we are blessed by a visit from Charlie's parents, Papa and Goomie. Papa's job sometimes has him come down from Alaska so we get to have fun with them too! We love our visits with Papa and Goomie!

We got to go swimming in their hotel pool, enjoyed a few sleepovers (just the older kiddos), and also took them roller skating! Lots of laughs and memories were made!

We started off by surprising Brendan and Carter at Applebees for dinner. They thought Papa and Goomie were arriving later in the week but they flew into Portland and had to drive up to Seattle for some work before coming back down for their visit. So we told the boys we were going to dinner before AWANA and surprise surprise! Papa and Goomie were there! Here is a fun video of the boys walking in the restaurant totally unaware....

The boys LOVED their surprise and we had a great dinner before they had to head up to Seattle for a few days.

When they got back from Seattle we were happy to hear that they got a room at a hotel close by with a pool. The boys spent HOURS swimming there.

Brendan's school has skate night once a month and we were thrilled that Papa and Goomie could join us. It was fun to see them skate around and we had a lot of laughs that night. 

During the day while Daddy worked and Papa had some classes down in Portland Carter and Ethan and I got to have some quality time with Goomie. We had so much fun!

Coloring with Goomie is always something we look forward too. Brendan and Carter love to show off their newest skills.

On the last night before they headed home we had a fun family dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory with my mom and stepdad, brother James, and Charlie's sister Holly and her husband Jeff. The food was yummy and the company was truly special.
