Update on Carter's Health

Last year at Carter's 3 year well child check up his pediatrician was concerned about his slow growth, more specifically, his almost complete lack of growth. He referred us to a endocrinologist who in turn did a few tests. You can read the results of that first blood test HERE

At the end of April we had a follow up visit along with new blood work and another bone scan. Carter did grow a bit since his last visit so the endocrinologist was encouraged by that. Carter did great and was such a trooper during his visit. Love that little man so much!

3 weeks after the test I was finally able to chat with his endocrinologist about the results. And the results were....
NORMAL!!!!

Praise the Lord! The growth hormone levels were on the lower end of normal but that doesn't matter. They were normal! The doctor was very positive about the results especially because Carter is still so young. We will continue to check once a year for a few years but for now the need for possible growth hormone injections is no longer in the near future. A true answer to prayer!

He is growing! yay!
