Celebrating all month long!

March is way to crazy too try to summarize in individual posts so I thought I'd post about the older boys birthday's this year. Sorry if its photo overload or not very interesting. I'm doing this more as a journal type post. Life is so busy that I don't want to miss anything! This is the best way I know how to make sure I remember.
First we celebrate Brendan's birthday. It was his first year having a birthday at school so it was strange not to have him home. I made some cupcakes and we delivered them to his class at the end of the day. We were bummed that his teacher was in a conference so she couldn't be there to help us celebrate but the substitute seemed to not mind us that much. She looked a little frazzled but 19 Kindergarteners would do that to me too. Anyways, all the kids loved the cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday to Brendan. We always enjoy visiting his class. Some really great kids in there and they also like to see Carter and Ethan.

Brendan's classmates LOVE Ethan!

For his birthday dinner Brendan wanted pizza. So on our way home from school we stopped in Papa Murphys to grab a pizza. Charlie and I weren't that hungry so when I saw the new Mini Murph I knew it was perfect! A build-it-yourself pizza kit for kids! I knew Brendan and Carter would love it. And they did!

Making pizza is serious business

Me and my 6 year old! (ignore the poofy tired eyes...Allergies in full bloom here...really miserable!!)
Got his own tools to work on projects with daddy!

In between Brendan and Carter's birthday we had their party to celebrate with friends. Right now they have all the same friends (outside of school) so it is easier to just have one party for both boys. Brendan invited 4 classmates but only 2 were able to come. We decided to try out Chuck E Cheese this year. Brendan had gone to a few parties for a friend there and really wanted one of his own. We picked a Monday night and practically had the whole place to ourselves! It was great! Lots of pizza and tokens and fun was had by all.

Ready to party with my boys!

Brendan and his 2 friends from school. He is quite the ladies man. Ha!

Getting their Birthday Crowns

Brendan's most anticipated event of his party was his turn in the ticket blaster. The birthday kid gets 1 min in a crazy wind tube thing to try to catch as many tickets as they can. The big goal is to catch the magic ticket worth 1000 tickets. Brendan was DETERMINED to catch that thing. And he got it!

Carter's goal in the ticket blaster was to just keep his safety glasses from falling off while catching a few tickets. He did great though and still managed to catch a few in his crown (maybe had a little help from our birthday host)

Another great birthday party! As stressful as it might be in the moment I know that we all have a fun time and it is nice to get it all done in one month and relax the rest of the year.

Next we celebrate Carter's Birthday. Charlie was at work and Brendan was at school so it was just Ethan and I at home to celebrate. I asked Carter what he wanted to do on his special day and he wanted to go to the mall. He is so easy to please! We had a great day playing at the mall and eating lunch followed by some birthday ice cream.

(all I had was my phone for pictures so they aren't the best...oh well!)

When asked what he wanted for his birthday dinner he asked for the mini pizzas once again. So we happily obliged! :) After dinner we enjoyed opening birthday gifts and putting together some new Megabloks sets he got.

Me and my 4 year old! (again...allergies...ugh...so icky!!)
Working hard with Daddy
Finally, we concluded the month of parties with a small family dinner. We like to have a more relaxed celebration with family which gives us lots of time to just hang out and chat and enjoy each others company.

Almost a walker!
If you made it this far I'm impressed!! Just reposting and remembering all the partying we did makes me tired all over again. But in a good way.....can't wait to do it all again next year!
