One of my weakest traits as a mom is my lack of craftiness. This was pointed out to me one day last year when I was talking to Brendan about the possibility of homeschooling him. I wanted to get his opinion of what he would like to do and he told me that I wouldn't be a good teacher because "I don't know very much, and I don't make good crafts". Ouch :)
I really don't like the messes and unless its something they can do all on their own with little to no assistance from me I tend to avoid all things arts and crafts. I hope that my kids aren't too badly scarred from this. I'm trying to be better though. I really am!
I wanted to share a little craft we made recently for Valentines Day. I saw this first on a friend's blog and then many other times on Pinterest. Looked simple enough and required very few supplies, all of which I already had at home
All you need is
Craft paint (any color you want, I had red and white)
Cardboard tubes
Tape
Paper
I created a heart with the ends of the cardboard tubes and taped them in place. Then all you do is let your little one dip the ends in paint and stamp away! Easy as that!

I know its not that exciting or particularly unique and inspired but we had a lot of fun and I was happy that we had a good crafting experience.
