7 Years!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Sunday Charlie and I celebrated something much much more important than the Super Bowl, our 7 year anniversary. Yes, we got married Super Bowl weekend 7 years ago. Obviously my man isn't into football or that wouldn't have been okay. I don't think it even registered when we set the date. Charlie definitely was more excited about heading out on our honeymoon than watching some silly football game. We laugh about it ever year when we go out to dinner and notice all the women there missing all their men. Ha! Definitely easier to go out when most people are home glued to their TV.

We had the hardest time deciding what to do for our special afternoon/evening out. My mom (who is awesome) offered to watch all 3 after church and naps. It has been gorgeous out so we knew we wanted to something outside but since we were going later in the day we knew we didn't have a lot of time before the sun would be going down. About 30 miles away is a outdoor shopping center/mall and a lot of yummy restaurants to choose from. We walked around for awhile, enjoying coffee and cookies while browsing the stores. Even though we didn't need anything or have the extra money to buy anything it was just so nice to look around without the kids. We especially loved The Container Store (Charlie doubted me) and it inspired a few ideas to spruce up our house.

I "made' Charlie get out his camera and tripod to take a nice picture of us in front of a cool fountain. He was happy we did it in the end. Aren't we cute?

After working up a little appetite and feeling the weather cooling off as the sun was going down it was time to figure out dinner. About 5 miles away is The Cheesecake Factory and I had never been there before but I'd heard it was quite a treat. We were definitely in the mood for something a little different than the normal date night out. We were not disappointed! The menu was HUGE and everything sounded amazing. The portions were big too so it didn't take long to fill us up. We weren't ready to eat cheesecake but you can't go to The Cheesecake Factory without having cheesecake! So we ordered our pieces to go.

My mom had the kids all ready for bed when we picked them up so that made bedtime a lot smoother when we got them home. After they were all in bed we were finally ready for our treats. We snuggled on the couch and watched one of our favorite shows we watch together, Grimm, while enjoying our little slices of heaven.

Tiramisu Cheesecake. I couldn't decide between cheesecake and Tiramisu so I was thrilled to see I could have both! Oh so GOOD!

7 years went by so fast! Can't believe all the crazy adventures we've been through and I know we have more coming down the road. Life with 3 boys is never dull. So glad I have Charlie by my side to enjoy it all.

Love you babe!
