Brothers

All for one and one for all
My brother and my friend
What fun we have
The time we share
Brothers 'til the end.

First photo together! Ethan's arrival home New Years Day 2011

Growing up I never really pictured myself having 3 boys. I have 2 brothers and even though I have a half sister, I grew up being the only girl (besides my mom) and definitely thought about how wonderful it would be to someday have daughters. For some reason though, God knows what He is doing, I am still the only girl in my home. Not even a female pet on my side! Right now its just fine but I'm thinking later on down the road I'm going to have to get my own apartment or something. I can't even picture living in a house with 3 teenage boys! Ah! I know how life was with my brothers.....I just keep praying the Lord will return before then. And if not, well, I pray He gives me the strength and patience I'll need!

Watching my boys grow and develop their relationship with one another has been really sweet. For the most part Brendan and Carter get along pretty well. Brendan can be a little bossy and Carter, bless his heart, just gets pushed to the edge sometimes. Its been interesting to see how Ethan fits in. So far the boys have just loved on him and really think he is pretty great. I don't know if its because of his rough start or what but they accepted him without any problems right from the beginning. I'm sure things will change as Ethan grows and becomes his own little independent person.

My prayer everyday is that they stay close, always, no matter what happens in this life.
