Zoo in the Fall

The last 3 years we've had a Zoo membership and used it pretty faithfully a few times a month as the weather would allow. Last summer I took the boys probably every other week. Its a great place to enjoy the outdoors and spend the long lazy days of summer. I'm amazed that Brendan and Carter never got tired of our zoo trips. After Ethan was born our zoo trips slowed down...okay they stopped all together. A combination of our zoo membership expiring and being overwhelmed with 3 kids I guess. I hope the zoo doesn't take it personally. Really, we love the zoo! ♥♥

The last trip we took was in January, when Charlie's mom was in town and she and I took all 3 kids. Right before Ethan got RSV. For some reason whenever we'd have some extra money to renew our membership something else more important would come up. So when a Groupon arrived in my inbox a couple weeks ago with a steal of a deal...$23 for 2 adults, 2 kids (3+), 4 sodas, and 4 popcorns...I couldn't pass it up! Not long after buying that deal we found out that both Charlie and Brendan had a Friday off and I knew that rain or shine, we'd be spending a family day at the zoo. We had a fabulous time! The weather was a little cloudy and drizzly but that didn't stop us. The animals were all out...they love the cooler weather. It was great to spend the day together as a family. We've missed that since Brendan started school. Looking forward to another trip soon!
