Hello out there! I hope that I've gotten a few new readers this past week since I've decided to make the bold move and step out of the world of Facebook. Its very shocking but so far I have survived. It has only been one day though :) We'll see how this goes.
I'm really excited though! This fall season has brought so many familiar and new things to our life. I'm still in MOMS but instead of being a mere attender I was asked in the spring to step into a small leadership role and co-lead a table. Wow...very fun but also very scary at the same time. I have to get out of my bubble and meet new women and so far its been great. I have a great co-leader and so far some really awesome women at our table that I'm excited to get to know more as the year goes on. With being on leadership comes lots of extra responsibilities and also a Bible Study on Tuesday mornings (not mandatory but SO good for filling up and connecting with the other ladies on leadership). So I'm busy busy a few days a week. Our marriage small group started up again and we gained a few new couples and its been so good to get together for a little kid free time and fellowship and grow.
One of the newest things in our life is our oldest, Brendan, started school *sniff sniff*. All day Kindergarten...wow...not what I was expecting at all. But Brendan LOVES it. He is excited every day for school and we knew he would. We miss him during the day but also enjoy a little peace and quiet too :) For those of you who know Brendan you know what I mean. Ha! It also makes us cherish our weekends home with him even more.
Well, thats it for an update and a little of what I'm doing. My blog is not at all up to date and I will be working on that. So until I get more recent posts go through and see what we were up to last winter and spring. Hopefully we'll get this thing going on a more consistent basis soon!
Leave comments, say hi, let me know you're out there please so I don't feel like I'm posting to the air!

Hey Megan, Brave step to leave FB! I agree, it can be a huge time sink, which isn't good when we already feel like there isn't enough time! Hope you enjoy leading at MOMS...take care! --Emily
