Our church is in downtown Vancouver and for several weeks in the spring we would drive by all these signs for a Recycled Arts Festival that was going to happen at the end of June. Sounded kind of cheesy weird but once the weekend arrived full of sunshine we had to check it out. We packed a lunch and after church we loaded up the stroller and headed down to see what it was all about.
There were people everywhere and all sorts of vendors selling their very unique forms of art using recycled materials. There were some really neat things and we were impressed with the creativity! After settling down for lunch near an African group we enjoyed some great music along with our food. Carter really got into the music!
Once our bellies were full we continued on our adventure to the kids area. There they had mounds of recycled materials and kids were everywhere making some really neat creations. This was right up the boys (and Charlie's) alley. Let the inventing begin!
We had a great day and can't wait for the festival to come back next year!
