California 2010 Part 1

As has become an annual tradition, our family traveled south recently to bring back a little California sunshine and spend time with much missed family.  This time brother James joined our little excursion and was a nice addition and we made some fun memories. Not sure if he ever wants children after spending almost a whole week non stop with Brendan and Carter but I'm hoping he'll recover soon :) We drove, yes...all the way through...like the crazy people we are. Left Saturday evening around 7 pm to make sure the boys slept as much of the drive as they could. Hard on us, a lot easier on the kids. Sacrifices...sacrifices...

We arrived in Riverside finally around 3 pm so we made pretty good time all things considered. We were SOOOO relieved to arrive at our hotel and couldn't wait to get in our swim suits and jump in the pool!

The hotel we stayed at was moderate but in a great location right by a huge mall and the freeway. The price was reasonable and the staff was friendly. Only 1 room so it was a tight fit but we all survived. :) Bedtime was interesting....luckily we were all so exhausted every night it wasn't a problem to go to bed by 8. Despite the situation both boys slept pretty well and so did we. Much better than our last hotel stay last year at Disneyland!
