A few days after Christmas Charlie and the boys took a trip to the zoo with Goomie and Papa (Charlie's parents) before they had to head home to Alaska. I stayed home and enjoyed a much needed day to myself. I had plans with a friend but unfortunately she had to cancel so I spent the day in bed reading and relaxing in the quiet house. Love days like that! Few and far between.
In the lion exhibit the lions were definitely out and Carter got a very upclose and personal encounter with one. These pictures are a little scary...I think the lion thought Carter looked like a tasty treat!
