Mother's Day this year was pretty much perfect :) It was a wonderfully relaxing day with my family. I have more than I deserve!! I have the best hubby and the sweetest little boys!!
We stayed home from church because Carter had pink eye :( but it was fine because I really really wanted to sleep in. Charlie got up with the boys and let me sleep as long as I wanted. It was heavenly! He had gone out and brought back yummy Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee for me when I woke up. He even cleaned the kitchen after feeding the boys breakfast! The rest of the morning/afternoon we just relaxed and hung out. Charlie bought me the new Dr. Laura book "In Praise of Stay-At-Home Moms" SO GOOD!!! All my SAHM friends need to go out and read it. Its so encouraging and uplifting and full of lots of great advice and support. He also had the boys paint an adorable picture frame and put their handprints on it. So sweet!
We decided to go out to dinner instead of lunch. We haven't really taken the boys out much, actually not at all except for the rare McDonalds visit. They did really really well and dinner was so yummy. We've been trying so hard to save money and haven't eaten out in such a long time it was a real treat to not have to cook dinner. We got a million complements on how adorable and well-behaved the boys were. Music to this mama's ear! After dinner we went to my mom's house and had dessert.
I am so blessed in every way!
