So, not much to blog about lately. Last week was spring break here in Washington so most of my weekly activities were canceled and it was a very wet and dreary week. I took that opportunity of having nowhere to go to start really potty training Brendan. We have been doing it slowly and decided that after the birthday trip to California and crazyness of birthdays calmed down we'd really make a point of getting him out of diapers. So, I felt that this was the week! And it went great...I am so happy. The first day we had no accidents at all. He told me when he needed to pee or poop and did everytime. The second day we had 1 accident because he was playing and told me he didn't need to go but I knew it had been awhile but instead of making him I let him play....so sorta my fault. The 3rd day we headed out of the house to see how things would go. We went to Sip n' Play for a coffee date with a friend of mine. He had an accident there (too caught up in playing again) but after a change of clothes he was good to go...and then he told me he had to go again and he did! The hardest thing is to get him to poop on the potty. He doesn't like to sit and wait...if it doesn't happen right away then he wants to get up. He still wears a diaper at naptime and bedtime but is in underwear the rest of the time! I am so happy its gone well...I think that we just knew that he wasn't ready before and it was good for us to wait.
This week all of Charlie's family will be arriving in town. Charlie's sister, hubby, and kiddos are flying in from NC tomorrow morning and will be here until the 18th. Charlie's parents are flying in Friday for a few days as well. They are in Israel right now so we're sorta a long layover on their way home. We are very excited to have everyone here for Easter! We didn't get to see Heidi, Jed, and the boys for Christmas so this will be fun. Can't wait to have all the cousins playing together. Hoping for some good weather!
Thats about it for our news around here. Exciting huh? I'm sure we'll get lots of pictures with the family coming so I'm looking forward to posting some soon.
