The Funk

So I've been a little down lately...some post-Christmas blues maybe I don't know. I've also been off my normal go go go schedule and I think that is something I miss a little. I like having places to go, things to do, an agenda. Now, I also enjoy a laid-back day at home in my pjs now and again too but I've had a few to many of those the last couple weeks. What with being snowed in and most of my church activities being on hold for the holidays I have been getting pretty lazy. I like getting up and out the door so I am a part of the world and those around me. Keeps my thoughts off myself and makes me a better person. I feel bad that Charlie has to come home to me, still in pjs, on my last straw with Brendan, and whining because I haven't done anything all day. Poor guy! He is getting the brunt of my frustrations.

I am also so tired of this weather. I can't wait for the sun to come back so I can take the boys to the park. I can't wait to watch them run around and get their energy out. Brendan got a new tricycle for Christmas and I can't wait for him to be able to ride it around out front of our house. Rain and snow go away!!

I am definitely looking forward to next week. My MOMS group starts up again, I will start volunteering in the church office again, and my Wed night Bible Study resumes. I will again feel a part of the world. Yay!

  1. I'm sorry to hear about your "funk". I understand the frustrations you're feeling. I've kept busy by cleaning, packing, baking, taking pictures of Libby, writing letters to family, calling friends and so on...otherwise, these winter blues would be getting me down too! "Cheer up Charlie" (as they sang in Willie Wonka & the Choc Factory) things will get better soon. Tomorrow night you'll get out on that romantic date you've been looking forward to and hopefully feel like part of the world again: ) See you tomorrow!
